The Way Ahead Group is a club for people who are recovering a stroke & aims to assist with physical & mental exercise & recovery. We are all about welcome & friendship & having fun together as we stimulate our minds and our bodies.

Afternoons include:
A varied programme of physio to suit different levels of mobility including chair exercises & walking & stepping exercises. All under the guidance of qualified physiotherapists.
Board games including Scrabble, Dominoes, Triominoes and Chess
Drawing, colouring, puzzles, crosswords and word games are also available
Chat with friendly volunteers and other members
Afternoon tea.
The Way Ahead Group is affiliated with Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. In addition to our regular activities we have visiting speakers & entertainment such as choirs & country dance groups. We also arrange outings.
We have a huge number of enthusiastic volunteer helpers & drivers who give generously of their time to make The Way Ahead Group an asset for our community. Club members & volunteers enjoy each other’s company in a bright & friendly environment. We welcome new volunteers & members at any time.
